These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FishLakes mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by FishLakes ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using FishLakes, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

By posting catch photos and information, you grant FishLakes a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use that content within the Service. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms at our discretion.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

FishLakes offers a free tier and a paid Pro Angler subscription. Subscription fees are billed monthly and processed by Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

6. AI-Generated Content

Fish weight estimates provided by FishLakes are generated by AI and are approximations only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated weight estimates. These estimates are for entertainment and leaderboard purposes and should not be relied upon for any official, legal, or regulatory purpose.

7. Fishing Laws and Regulations

FishLakes provides fishing intelligence tools only. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable fishing laws, regulations, licenses, and size/bag limits in your jurisdiction. FishLakes accepts no liability for any violations of fishing laws or regulations.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that forecasts will be accurate. Fishing conditions can change rapidly — always use your own judgment on the water.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FishLakes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or personal injury.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at fishlakesapp@gmail.com.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
